Big data is nothing but large amount of data which we cannot handle with our traditional databases.The three v's of big data are 

1) Volume

2) variety

3) Velocity

Volume :- Volume is nothing but large amount of data.now a days every one is using internet and social networking.Per second are generating some terabytes of data.we have to store all that without any loss.

Variety:- There are different types of data like photos,text,videos.We have to store all these data.

Types of data:

Structured: Excel files,teradata.

Semi-structured: XML files

Unstructured: Social media,audio,video.

Cluster: cluster is nothing but collection of hardware(Systems).

Node: node is a single system which is connected in cluster.
